How to get the word out

We still need to advertise this forum a fair bit, how do you suppose we can get the word out some more?

Like join groups or top link thingys or something?

I don't know also it hard to tell who's spam or not. Truthfully I think you deleted someone I refered here because the name I thought was (key word THOUGHT) hers isn't on the list anymore.

Start an activity or something. Lots of forums hold some type of contest at some point.

Also in America...and I guess pretty much everywhere else that isn't Austrialia school is/will be starting soon if is hasn't already.

Also posting on tagboards works. just make sure you actually bother speaking instead of a "Dropping by" like someone did on my friends site, that's so rude. -grumbles about someone who does that that- When doing that people need to leave real comments or the site won't be looked at unless the owner gets annoyed enough. I have a person that all they ever say on my cbox is "Hello! Nice site" or "Hello! Dropping by" it annoys the living hell out of me and I make sure not to recomend that site to my friends. (no matter how good it is) I don't even know that persons name. >.>
Also plugboards get a couple here and there. It takes a couple days though.

oh my goodness. i hate it when people just drop by.
something like this:

"oh i love your layout!"
and that's all the effing they write.
and i'm there, screaming at the tagboard:
"you fagnugget! never come back again!"

haha now you see my passionate anger towards those kind of people. ):
usually i snap back at them... and other times i just don't visit their site. ignore them. ;)

I good way of advertising is using the proboards forum.
You can browse around different forums, alot of which are made especially advertising. just make sure you read the rules of it first.

Also, sign up to a couple of forums that are about similar things to this one and just get talking and point people in this direction.

A couple of forums also have a section dedicated to Advertising. Mine does, purely because it means i get more visitors and it stops the advertising spreading over the board.
